- *Yogurt-like Vomit / White Mucus— Thick white mucus or curd-like regurgitation, which can occur with crop disease or yeast overgrowth.

Treatment Protocol
Nystatin as first-line. Fluconazole for resistant cases. Address underlying causes (antibiotics, stress, poor hygiene).
Recommended Medications
Dosage: 300,000 IU/kg body weight, orally three times daily
Duration: 7-14 days
If Nystatin fails after 7 days (Rx in US)
Dosage: 20mg/kg body weight, orally every 48 hours
Duration: 14-21 days
Critical for restoring gut flora
Dosage: Per product instructions, typically once daily
Duration: 7-14 days (during and after antibiotic treatment)
Home Care
- +Eliminate sugar and high-carb treats
- +Thoroughly disinfect food/water dishes daily
- +Improve cage hygiene
- +If on antibiotics, probiotics are essential
When to See a Vet
If no improvement after 7 days of Nystatin, or if crop stasis is severe.
